AMSURG Center Leader Amanda Gunthel, of Wilton Surgery Center in Wilton, Conn., received the Elizabeth Bozzuto Award, the highest form of recognition from Connecticut’s Patient Safety Organization (PSO). The Elizabeth Bozzuto Award acknowledges ambulatory surgery center (ASC) leadership excellence as determined by the PSO.

“Whether serving on the PSO Board itself or the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers, she is the person that her peers are seeking for advice and service, both of which she offers graciously and selflessly,” said AMSURG partner Richard Casden, M.D. of Wilton Surgery Center. “This honor is not just Amanda‚Äôs. As members of the Wilton Surgery Center family, it is a compliment to all of us when our ASC is so universally acclaimed by this kind of recognition.”
