In October, the Nashville Health Care Council released its 2013-2014 Annual Report. With the goal of strengthening Nashville’s role as the nation’s capital for the health care industry, the organization brings together leaders in the field, including many with ties to AMSURG.

AMSURG CEO Chris Holden and Board member Tom Cigarran both serve on the Council’s Board of Directors. Holden was also featured at several Council events over the past year, including the Council Executive Dinner in September of 2013 and a Leadership Health Care Executive Briefing in May 2014.

In August 2013, AMSURG Board member Kevin Lavender served as moderator for the Council’s annual forum on “Developing Health Care Ventures: Investor and Entrepreneur Collaborations.”

Phillip Clendenin, AMSURG’s Executive Vice President of Operations, completed the Council’s Fellowship program in June 2014, while Board member Joey Jacobs served as guest faculty for the Fellows program.
