Representative Charlie Dent (R-PA) recently visited College Heights Endoscopy Center in Allentown, Pa., on Friday March 11. Representative Dent met the staff and AMSURG partners Sean Lacey, M.D., and Robert Sinnott, M.D..
“The staff did a great job of showing him around and answering questions as well,” said Meg Morgan, AMSURG division vice president, operations. “We also had an opportunity to talk about the need for increased colorectal cancer screening, the disparities in reimbursement between HOPD [hospital outpatient department] and ASC [ambulatory surgery center] and the difference in rate increases. He also mentioned the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Cancer bill that he is co-sponsoring.”
