Sheridan Healthcare Featured in Wall Street Journal

Sheridan Healthcare was featured in an article in the Wall Street Journal discussing ways to make anesthesia safer.

“Patients and doctors can help prevent problems [with anesthesia] by collecting the fullest picture of a patient’s health before surgery. Sunrise, Fla.-based Sheridan Healthcare, which provides anesthesia services to hospitals, last year introduced a program called ClearPath to ensure patients are fully evaluated for problems including diabetes, heart and respiratory conditions and family history. Sheridan also provides a patient education portal with definitions of different types of anesthesia and provides questions patients may want to ask before surgery such as what happens if there is an emergency, says Adam Blomberg, national education director for Sheridan’s anesthesiology division.”
