St. Thomas Medical Group (STMG) Endoscopy Center recently received the results of their June 2012 Patient Satisfaction Survey and their 2011-2012 Quality Initiatives. They received a 92 percent response rate for their patient satisfaction survey, and of those patients surveyed, 92 percent ranked the center “best center possible.” This exceeds the HealthStream (HSTM) Research Group National Norm of 86 percent. Also, 97 percent said they would recommend the center to friends and family.
STMG consistently ranked higher than HSTM Research National Norms for key indicators of patient satisfaction. Such key indicators included pain controlled, a clean environment, needs were met in a timely manner, and doctors and nurses listened and explained well and were courtesy and respectful. STMG scored 100 percent on the following key indicators: nurses were courtesy and respectful, nurses explained and listened well, and pain control.
STMG recently completed the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) survey with no deficiencies, which resulted in a three-year accreditation. They also successfully completed a survey by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) in February 2011. STMG routinely monitors criteria recognized by the ASC Quality Collaboration (ASCQC) as important aspects of care, and the center ranks among the highest on these metrics.
