The GI Quality Improvement Consortium, Ltd. (GIQuIC) has just announced that more than three million colonoscopy cases have been added to the registry. It was just last October when GIQuIC announced that the registry had reached two million cases.
GIQuIC is a joint initiative of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). AMSURG has been working with GIQuIC since 2013. As of May 6, 2016, AMSURG has 81 centers uploading data to GIQuIC and has contributed a total of almost 686,000 colonoscopy records to the database.
