Too Many Americans Skip Follow-Up Colon Cancer Screenings

If you’ve had your first colon cancer screening, give yourself a pat on the back, but don’t fool yourself into believing you only need one screening to prevent the disease for life. Unfortunately, that seems to be the belief most Americans have. According to a recent survey, one out of three Americans fails to follow up on repeat colon cancer screenings. That failure significantly decreases the likelihood of preventing the disease or catching it in its early stages.
