AMSURG had several representatives from the Clinical and Quality Services department at the ASC Association conference in Washington, D.C. last month.
Kathy Wilson, AMSURG vice president of quality, participated in a panel discussion about OAS CAHPS, along with several leaders from the ASC Association.
“Our implementation of OAS CAHPS is unique due to the exceptionally large number of billing vendors that we have to coordinate with for the data uploads,” Wilson said. This challenge is what makes AMSURG centers as a whole representative of the entire ASC industry.
Three other AMSURG Clinical and Quality Services representatives led breakout sessions. Jan Allison, RN, CHSP, presented on writing plans of correction and avoiding nurse burnout. Laura Schneider, RN, CGRN, CASC, presented on the administrator’s role in endoscope reprocessing. And Carolanne Reho, MHA, BSN, RN, CNOR, presented on QAPI studies that work.
