After completing more than 30 hours of leadership training, AMSURG Health Systems Development Analyst Ben Flatt graduated from the Young Leaders Council (YLC) and will now serve a one-year internship with the Special Olympics of Tennessee.
Special Olympics of Tennessee provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. This gives them an opportunity to develop physical fitness, develop healthy lifestyle habits, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
“This is a great organization that is very active in the community,” Flatt said. “I’m excited to be a part of their team.”
