In a recent letter to the Triangle Endoscopy Center, Durham N.C., a patient of William Singletary, M.D., took time to recognize the “high professionalism” he received from the center’s staff. The patient’s procedure was scheduled on “a nightmare of a morning commute to work on ice covered roads;” however, the staff at Triangle Endoscopy Center rose to the occasion. In the letter, the patient recognized the care and consideration of the staff who were all under personal pressures of “having children at home because of unplanned and last minute school closings” along with the consideration of Dr. Singletary who called to check in on the patient at home and Debra Hapel who also called the following morning. “A patient cannot help taking note of this high quality of patient care.” “Your staff at Triangle has created a professional medical screening atmosphere with World-Class medical competency executed in an efficient and FRIENDLY & PERSONAL manner. “Friendly & Personal” is very important. Just the thought of these procedures is stressful regardless of who you are. Sadly, medicine today is increasingly focused on the bottom line and increasingly short on “Friendly & Personal”. When a patient comes once to Triangle they are in a much better mind set to come back for follow up screening. I sincerely hope the new federal AHCA does not degrade the excellent operations already well-established here! The best operational model for these procedures already exists at Triangle.” Congratulations to Triangle Endoscopy Center for this testament to your superior patient care!
