According to an official release from the YWCA of Greenwich, “The BRAVA Awards honor women who have excelled in their professional careers and have given back to the community through their time and talent.”
Zwas has practiced gastroenterology in the Fairfield/Westchester community for more than 25 years. In addition to being a physician partner at Diagnostic Endoscopy Center, Zwas is the Chief of Gastroenterology at Greenwich Hospital and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine.
Zwas has a particular interest in patients with inflammatory bowel disease as well as special gastroenterology issues facing women. Her research has been published in forty-two peer reviewed journals. She has been listed as a “Top Doc” in Connecticut, Westchester and New York Magazines.
Zwas will receive the BRAVA award at a luncheon on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Hyatt Regency Greenwich.
